Needing to get yet another pair of gloves. Here I look at BTF Injection Foam Technology Boxing Gloves. See if they are worth your hard earned cash or if maybe you should take a pass.

Per Manufacturer-

These gloves have one layer of soft density foam, the impact is absorbed by the foam which allows for no impact on the knuckle, wrist, elbow or shoulder. Wrap around closure with Velcro secures a snug fit!

First Impression- I really liked the way these looked when I first got them. They have a nice clean look to them and look like they are going to be well made. Could not wait to try them out.

Construction-The very first thing that I noticed about these gloves was when I opened the box and smelled the leather. It smelled like real leather. I have received gloves in the past that had more of a chemical smell. These gloves are made of genuine cowhide leather. The leather on these is very tight but is on the thinner side of some of the gloves I have used. Hopefully these gloves will be able to stand up to round after round of work. There does not appear to be any loose threads, and the gloves have your standard hook and loop closure system . These gloves have IFT which stands for Injected Foam Technology. It is basically the way that the padding of the glove is put into the glove. It also provides plenty of shock absorption and makes for a very comfortable glove. These gloves are manufactured in Pakistan.

Fit- In this glove I choose to do a 14oz as sometime I find that 16oz gloves are just too big on me. Well with these I really could have gone either way. The 14oz are nice and snug but with wraps are tight. If you have medium to large hands I would say go for the 16oz. The lining inside the glove is nice, but these glove have no holes for ventilation. The padding in these is well distributed and I can make a fist fairly easy. These glove do have a grab bar that helps with that. The cuff of these gloves is longer than other gloves which makes them have plenty of wrist support. The closure system is also longer which makes them have a nice fit around the wrist.

Pads/Mitts- These gloves worked well on the pads/mitts. The gloves provide just enough support and have plenty of padding. One thing I started to notice is that I can see small cracks in the leather. Its nothing major, but it appears to be because the leather is stretched so tight across the front of the glove. Had no trouble with making a fist and these gloves through out the workout were very comfortable. Another negative is with the lack of ventilation my hands did become very sweaty especially while wearing wraps.

Heavy Bag- On the heavy bag these gloves worked okay. They have a good amount of shock absorbency and there is adequate wrist support. Now I got the 14oz and that worked just fine on the bag. After a round or two I would find my hands to get a little sore but nothing that I could not deal with. Now because these wore the 14oz they were nice and tight on my hands. My hands did not become fatigued, and making a fist was easy.

Sparring- Here is where I did not like these gloves. I just felt like the padding on these is just to stiff for sparring. I did ask some partners after I got done and they agreed with me that it was just too stiff. Now maybe had I got the 16oz version it would have been a little better, but I have a feeling that they still would have been just a little too stiff. Everything else about them was fine they provide plenty of movement and wrist support. However do no expect to get a clinch very easy with these as opening up the hand does not come very easy and I would use these more as a boxing glove rather than a muay thai style glove.

Pros-

*Nice fit

*Injected foam

*Long Cuff

Cons-

*Thin leather may not be durable

*Lack of ventilation

Overall- These are a descent pair of gloves. I can recommend these gloves, but I will update this review if something happens as far as the leather goes. Built to fight is a great company and I am sure that they stand by their product and that is also a reason that I can recommend this glove. If you are looking for a glove that provides good shock absorbency, and something to use during pad/bag drills then you may have found the right glove. This glove retails for right around $90.

**Disclaimer** I received these at no cost for the purpose of review and received no payment from the company to do the review.
