An in depth look at Warrior Wear's Annihilation Shorts. Should these be your next shorts? Read my full review and find out.

Per Manufacture-

Annihilation Shorts have the following – Custom closure with drawstring, Appliques on each side, 5″ slit for great range of motion, stretch panel on inseam, Shorts have been treated with A Teflon Fabric protector that will repel BLOOD, SWEAT, SNOT, WATER, AND OIL BASED SPILLS

First Impression- I knew that when I first saw these shorts I was going to like them. I was one of the first people to receive them and did not know what they were going to look like til I had received them. Lets say they did not disappoint.

Construction- The construction of these shorts is excellent. Now when I first received them they had no loose threads but after over a years worth of action they have have some minor loose threads which I think is to be expected. They are made of 100% Polyester and are manufactured in Taiwan. All of the logos are embroidered but one thing I noticed is the rubber warrior wear logo on the back was crooked. Small thing I know, but on my other pair it is perfectly straight. They also use a round drawstring in these shorts which I happen to like as it will not get all flipped over inside the shorts. The colors in these are very well done but noticed that over time the white really starts to absorb other colors in the wash.

Fit- I got a size 30 in these and that fit me perfect. For those of you that follow my reviews I am either a 30 or 32 in shorts so with these shorts go with your smaller size. The closure system on these is your standard over the top hook and loop style with a drawstring which makes them feel very secure. These shorts are a little bit short then some falling about 2 inches above the knee. They have a split seam which seems shorts then most, and stretch panel in the inseam. These are a very comfy pair of shorts, and feel very light weight.

Stand up- I really enjoyed these shorts for doing stand up. They have an excellent range of motion and has no problems with any sort of technique. These shorts are just the right length for doing just about anything. For the most part they stayed pretty snug however they did shift a little around my waist, but did not ride up in either the waist or the legs. Something I really liked about these shorts is they dry quickly. Even after long workout it would not take that long to dry and did not have to adjust them after some hard rounds. All in all a good pair of shorts for doing your stand up.

Ground- These shorts worked well on the ground. Now once again they did shift around my waist a little but I think that is to be expected with shorts that do not have some sort of grip material on the inside of the waistband like some of the newer shorts that are out on the market. With that said I did not have any problems with doing and sort of ground work. Felt very comfortable while both have someone in my guard and being in a top position. The flexibility of these shorts is great. One thing I noticed is how little these shorts bunched up in the legs and I thin that has to do with how sturdy the material is which doesn’t really allow it to bunch plus the added split seam which usually makes bunching worse in this case actually helped.

Pros-

*Closure System

*Excellent Mobility

*Fit

Cons-

*Minor shifting around waist

*Loose threads over time

Overall- With only some minor issues these are some shorts that I can definitely recommend. If you are looking for a pair of warrior wear shorts that is toned down from their Domination shorts then make sure and take a look at these. These shorts retail for around $55 which put them at the mid range price point.
