<p><strong>Per manufacturer-</strong></p>
<div>The Elite Series shorts feature a two-way stretch polyester microfiber body and a fully sublimated contiguous expansion panel that runs vertically up the sides of each leg and laterally across the rear for maximum flexibility and performance.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>They also include an extended expansion panel that extends vertically along the entire length of each inseam.</div>
<ul>
<li>Fully sublimated expansion panels</li>
<li>Proprietary Clinch Gear waist closure system</li>
<li>Triple stitching on all critical seams</li>
<li>Two-way stretch fabric on body</li>
<li>Expansion panels on inseams</li>
<li>Contiguous expansion panels along sides and rear</li>
<li>Painstakingly hand-stitched in North America</li>
</ul>
<p><strong><a href="http://mmagearadvice.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/DSC0109.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-1673" title="_DSC0109" src="http://mmagearadvice.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/DSC0109-300x199.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="199" /></a></strong></p>
<p><strong>First Impression- </strong>I really liked the way that these shorts looked when I got them out of the bag they came in. They felt different than other Clinch Gear shorts that I have purchased, lighter but sturdier. I could not wait to try them out and get some workouts in.</p>
<p><strong><a href="http://mmagearadvice.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/DSC0112.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-1675" title="_DSC0112" src="http://mmagearadvice.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/DSC0112-300x199.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="199" /></a></strong></p>
<p><strong><img class="alignleft" title="stars-5-0__V47081849_" src="http://mmagearadvice.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/stars-5-0__V47081849_.gif" alt="" width="64" height="12" />Construction-</strong> Like everything that Clinch Gear makes these shorts are very well constructed. There were no loose threads, and everything is either double or triple stitched. They are made out of 100% polyester. The fabric of these is shorts is a two-way stretch and there is a stretch panel that runs not only along the sides, but along the back of the shorts. There is also another stretch panel on the inseam of these shorts. The closure system on these is your standard over the top style closure system, but does not feature a  drawstring. The logo on the closure system is embroidered and all the rest of the logos are sublimated. These are the best quality shorts I have seen out of Clinch Gear. These shorts are manufactured in Mexico.</p>
<p><strong><img class="alignleft" title="stars-4-0__V47081936_" src="http://mmagearadvice.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/stars-4-0__V47081936_.gif" alt="" width="64" height="12" />Fit-</strong> The most important thing that I can say about Clinch Gear is make sure that you get the correct size. With there being no drawstring, there is not a lot of room for adjustment. For me the bad part about that is I am right between a 28 and a 30. I can get into a 28, but it is very tight around my waist. I can easily fit into a 30 and is very comfortable, but during intense sparring or muay thai workouts they did shift around my waist. The closure system does a good job at keeping the shorts closed, and there is no exposed Velcro. The length of these shorts falls just above my knee. The shorts are extremely comfortable to the point where I find myself wearing them around the house. They dry out very quickly and feel extremely light. If only these had some sort of rubber strip inside the waistband, they would be one of the best pair of shorts I have ever reviewed. However they are still a very good pair of shorts.</p>
<p><strong><a href="http://mmagearadvice.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/DSC0119.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-1677" title="_DSC0119" src="http://mmagearadvice.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/DSC0119-150x150.jpg" alt="" width="150" height="150" /></a><a href="http://mmagearadvice.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/DSC0121.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-1678" title="_DSC0121" src="http://mmagearadvice.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/DSC0121-150x150.jpg" alt="" width="150" height="150" /></a></strong></p>
<p><strong>Sta<img class="alignleft" title="stars-4-0__V47081936_" src="http://mmagearadvice.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/stars-4-0__V47081936_.gif" alt="" width="64" height="12" />nd Up</strong>- I got mixed results with these shorts while doing stand up. I would have some workouts and they would stay very snug and not move around my waist, then I would have other workouts where all it would take was a couple rounds on the bag and they would be shifting around my waist. I did try two different sizes and noticed the most shifting with the size 30, but they are also the more comfortable pair over the size 28. I did not have any kind of problem with any sort of technique, and found these shorts to be one of the more comfortable pairs of shorts I have ever worn. They did a good job at feeling light weight, even during some very tough workouts. They also would dry very fast.</p>
<p><strong><img class="alignleft" title="stars-5-0__V47081849_" src="http://mmagearadvice.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/stars-5-0__V47081849_.gif" alt="" width="64" height="12" />Ground</strong>- Normally when a pair of shorts shifts around my waist during stand up, it is even worse when doing ground work. Well, with these shorts that is not the case. They actually stayed snug around my waist. The stretch panels in these shorts provide for a huge range of mobility. The feel very comfortable on do not ride up while having some one in my guard. The length of them is perfect, long enough to be comfortable, but still short enough so that you do not get a knee snuck in them. There are no split seams in these but they are really not needed.</p>
<p><strong><a href="http://mmagearadvice.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/DSC0115.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-1676" title="_DSC0115" src="http://mmagearadvice.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/DSC0115-300x199.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="199" /></a></strong></p>
<p><strong>Pro-</strong></p>
<p>*Fantastic Construction</p>
<p>*Comfort</p>
<p>*Sublimated Logos</p>
<p><strong>Cons-</strong></p>
<p>*No Drawstring for adjustability</p>
<p>*Hopefully you are not in between sizes</p>
<p><strong><a href="http://mmagearadvice.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/DSC0111.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-1674" title="_DSC0111" src="http://mmagearadvice.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/DSC0111-300x199.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="199" /></a></strong></p>
<p><strong><img class="alignleft" title="stars-4-0__V47081936_" src="http://mmagearadvice.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/stars-4-0__V47081936_.gif" alt="" width="64" height="12" />Overall-</strong> If I could design a pair of shorts these are very close to what I would come up with. The design is great and the construction is top notch. The only thing that keeps them from being the best shorts around in my opinion is that there is not any room for adjustment. WIth me I fit between sizes, so that made if hard. Oh side note of just something that I noticed is that these shorts fit a little bigger than their Pro series shorts. If you are looking for a new pair of shorts, make sure you look at these. They really are a pair of shorts that everyone should try out. They can be purchase for right around $60.</p>

<div> </div>
<div>First Impression- When I got these I pulled them out of the envelope that they came in and pulled them out of the plastic bag and was immediately impressed. The portion that had graphics on it was actually a stretch panel and the colors were so vibrant. I could not wait to try these on.</div>
<div> </div>
<div> <a href="http://mmagearadvice.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/P2080426.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-85" title="P2080426" src="http://mmagearadvice.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/P2080426-300x225.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="225" /></a></div>
<div> <a href="http://mmagearadvice.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/stars-4-0__V47081936_.gif"><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-94" title="stars-4-0__V47081936_" src="http://mmagearadvice.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/stars-4-0__V47081936_.gif" alt="" width="64" height="12" /></a>Construction- The shorts are made very well. The are 100% polyester and are assembled in Mexico. The feel of these shorts is great. I did not notice any loose threads and everything was either double or triple stitched. The logo on the waist is embroidered and all other logos are sub-laminated onto the shorts for tons of durability. These shorts also have a small pocket on the inside of the waistband. Something that is very different about these clinch gears when compared to other models is the stretch panel. The entire are where you see the American flag and clinch gear graphics is a stretch panel. They also have a stretch panel in the inner leg. Something I don;t like about these is they are white so when they get wet from sweat the become somewhat transparent. Luckily I wear compression shorts underneath them but still something that I found kind of annoying.</div>
<div> </div>
<div><a href="http://mmagearadvice.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/P2080427.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-86" title="P2080427" src="http://mmagearadvice.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/P2080427-300x225.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="225" /></a></div>
<div> </div>
<div>F<a href="http://mmagearadvice.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/stars-4-0__V47081936_.gif"><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-94" title="stars-4-0__V47081936_" src="http://mmagearadvice.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/stars-4-0__V47081936_.gif" alt="" width="64" height="12" /></a>it- I got these shorts in a size 30 and they fit perfect. I would say that if you in between sizes try going down first because if these shorts are too big they just wont work. One thing that I don&#8217;t really like about these is that there is not room for any adjust ability so you have to make sure that you get just the right size as there is no drawstring or elastic waist. The closure system is the same style that Clinch Gear had used before with the the Velcro fly that folds over the top. This pair of clinch gears is longer then the ones I have previously tried which I thought was a great addition as they fell to right about the middle of the knee. I really liked how light these shorts feel and there is plenty of room in the hips but they do not have a split seam. With all the stretch panels this pair of shorts has a split seam was not needed.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Sta<a href="http://mmagearadvice.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/stars-5-0__V47081849_.gif"><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-95" title="stars-5-0__V47081849_" src="http://mmagearadvice.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/stars-5-0__V47081849_.gif" alt="" width="64" height="12" /></a>nd Up- These shorts are great for stand up. They have a huge range of motion and I did not have any problems with any sort of technique from head kicks to knees from the clinch(no pun intended). They are very comfortable shorts that a lot of the time I could even feel I was really wearing them. They did not ride up or shift around my waist at all which I thought I was pretty amazing considering they have no drawstring.</div>
<div> </div>
<div><a href="http://mmagearadvice.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/P2080428.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-87" title="P2080428" src="http://mmagearadvice.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/P2080428-150x150.jpg" alt="" width="150" height="150" /></a><a href="http://mmagearadvice.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/P2080431.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-89" title="P2080431" src="http://mmagearadvice.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/P2080431-150x150.jpg" alt="" width="150" height="150" /></a></div>
<div> </div>
<div>Groun<a href="http://mmagearadvice.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/stars-4-0__V47081936_.gif"><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-94" title="stars-4-0__V47081936_" src="http://mmagearadvice.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/stars-4-0__V47081936_.gif" alt="" width="64" height="12" /></a>d- On the ground these shorts also performed. This is where having all those stretch panels really shinned. I had no problem with anyone is my guard. They also worked great from top position and  never felt restrictive. They did not ride or bunch up and there was very minimal shifting around my waist. Worked very well at everything I through at them.  </div>
<div> </div>
<div>Pros-</div>
<div>Fantastic Construction</div>
<div>Great range of motion</div>
<div>Sub-laminated and embroidered logos</div>
<div>Closure System</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Cons-</div>
<div>The white becomes transparent when it gets wet</div>
<div>No room for adjust ability</div>

They work very well at what they do and are definitely are pair of shorts I recommend. The few bad points about this pair of shorts certainly do not out way the good. You can get these shorts at <a href="http://www.clinchgear.com/" target="_blank">www.clinchgear.com</a> for around $58.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>They also have a version that comes with Dan Henderson sponsor logos for around $100 </div>
