That’s right. MMAGearAdvice.com’s feature fighter Brandon Bergeron wins the MNMMAnews Fighter of the Year. Looks like there were plenty of good fighters in the running with him, but not one of them has had a year quite like Brandon. With his overall record at 10-3 now and going 2010 undefeated at 4-0 it is hard to argue his case. Not only did he go undefeated, but he had nothing but top level competition including WEC veteran Courtney Buck. This did not seem to be a challenge for Brandon as he manged to submit Buck by armbar at 3:43 of the first round. With that said look for Brandon to be doing big things in 2011 and I wouldn’t be surprised if by the end of 2011 a lot more people know his name. Big congratulations to Brandon and all his team.

Here is a look at up and coming fighter Brandon Bergeron. He fights out of Chippewa Falls, MN. and currently trains at Minnesota Martial Arts Academy. You will find him training with the likes of Sean Sherk, Jacob Volkmann, Nik Lentz, Paul Bradley, and Derrick Noble just to name some. Over the 3 years that he has been training he has compiled a professional record of 9-3. He also holds a blue belt in jiu jitsu and as you can see from his stats has some pretty slick submissions in his arsenal. He is next scheduled to face WEC vet Courtney Buck coming up on July 30th. Keep an eye out for Brandon as he is doing big things and on his way to becoming a great mixed martial arts fighter. Here are his stats.
