All these new brands with extended cuffs for &quot;added wrist protection&quot; actually hinders clinchwork since you can&#039;t bend your hands inward. Plus having cuffs that extend down towards your elbow is a bit ridiculous (i.e. Boon gloves) and have no practical function. 

Keep in mind even with wrapping hands the Thai prefer to use most of the padding for the knuckle and little for the wrist to prevent problems in the clinch. In Muay Thai you&#039;re expected to strenghten your wrists by doing fist pushups and from repeated heavy bag work, not wrap them to the point they become immobile.</description>
